Returns & Exchanges
If a Vandelay item is not what you hoped it would be, we will take it back. No questions asked — and, frankly, no story required, though we are always happy to hear one.
The 30-Day Window
You have 30 days from the delivery date to initiate a return. The item must be unused, in its original packaging, and in a condition we can responsibly resell. Items that have been worn, washed, or had their tags removed cannot be refunded but may still be exchanged at our discretion — please write to us and explain.
How to Start a Return
- Email returns@vandelay-consumer.example with your order number and a one-line note about which item(s) you'd like to return. The note does not need to be a justification — "this isn't for me" is a complete answer.
- We'll reply within one business day with a prepaid return shipping label attached as a PDF. Print it, affix it to the original box (or any sturdy box you have on hand), and drop it at any USPS or UPS location.
- Once the warehouse receives and inspects your return, we issue a refund to the original payment method. This typically posts within 5 business days of warehouse receipt. Larger items may take 1–2 days longer to inspect.
Exchanges
If you'd like to exchange an item — a different size on the bomber, a different profile on a latex pillow — let us know in your return email and we will set aside the replacement at no additional shipping cost. We do not charge a restocking fee on exchanges, ever.
Damaged or Incorrect Items
If your order arrived damaged, or if we shipped the wrong item (it happens — we are human, and the warehouse is busy), please email us with a photograph within 7 days. We will replace the item and arrange pickup of the original at our cost. No return label needed on your end.
Final Sale Items
Items marked "Final Sale" on the product page cannot be returned or exchanged. This is rare — typically a closeout SKU we have priced aggressively to clear. We will always label it clearly. If you are not certain whether an item is final sale, write to us before ordering.
Gifts
If you received a Vandelay item as a gift and would like to return or exchange it, simply email us with the order number (or the name of the person who sent it) and we will handle it discreetly. Refunds on gifts are issued as store credit by default, unless you request otherwise.
